We have had a few emails from school saying that we haven’t put enough photos of certain children on the website. We have taken hundreds of photos this week and it’s impossible to put them all on the website. Miss Chapman has worked so hard to capture the trip and I can assure all parents. We have all had an amazing time.

Dinner was pasta bolognese and was delicious and set us up for the hilltop cheesy disco with DJ Mo! We can’t wait!

    Day 1

We are finally here. The sun is shining and we have Harry as our course director. It feels absolutely amazing to be back at Hilltop.

Everyone was at school  on time and we were lucky to leave ahead of schedule and we had a smooth journey up to North Norfolk. We arrived just before 11am and it was so good to see everyone again.

The children were so excited to finally be away and so were the staff. We all went to our rooms then met in the games room for our introduction with Harry.

We ate our lunch in the games room and then met in the changing rooms for the fire drill. After the fire drill we split into three groups for trust games and ice breakers. We all had an amazing time and we went back to the centre ready for dinner.

The children played in the games room and then we had dinner.  We had burger and chips followed by treacle sponge and custard. It was delicious. The evening activity was owls and mice. The children had a brilliant time. They were all in bed by 9.30. An early night for us all.  Ready for day 2!

  • KS1 Number Day

Fri 03 Feb 2023 Miss Chapman

What a fantastic day we have had for the NSPCC Number Day! All of the children in Nursery, Reception and Key Stage One have had fun filled maths activities throughout the day. We started off the fun in assembly – all wearing our fantastic headwear, filled with a variety of maths related fun on. One child from each class won best dressed and a tuck voucher. The children really did make an effort for the occasion so thank you to the parents/carers for all of the effort you put in to the costumes. It was hard to choose just one from each class! Key Stage One then thoroughly enjoyed having different teachers throughout the morning. The Year 1 and Year 2 teachers hosted a variety of maths activities, with the children rotating around the school; from shape making on geo-boards to playing shops with money. Maths is fundamental to children’s lives and therefore, raising awareness for the subject today has been excellent. We thought about maths in our everyday lives, as well as jobs for when we grow older. Many of us could not believe footballers use maths - counting goals and keeping time! We look forward to seeing how much money we have raised for such a great cause. Bring on Number Day 2024!
