Below you will find important information regarding your child's PE time slot and information on reading.

At the bottom of the page you will our class blog- a weekly update of all the exciting things that happen within Year 4.

Reading Books

Every child in Year 4 will have a reading book and we encourage them to read with an adult at home. Children will bring home a book of their choice.  Please ensure that a note is made, in your child's reading record, each time they read at home. These notes will count towards your child earning a certificate, or even a prize! 

P.E Days

Year 4 will have PE once a week, however the day may change. Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school every day. Long hair should be tied up and earrings MUST be removed on these days. Your child will not be able to join in with PE if they have earrings in.

Class blog – 12.7.24

We have a fantastic week this week!

TR – In Maths we have been making our questions to challenge each other.

TM – In English we have been learning about Alice in Wonderland. We have been writing speech from some of the scenes. The queen asked the frogs if they had stolen the tarts!

OA – We have been doing roleplay in English.

CDW – In Georgraphy we have been learning about the rainforest and the desert and the different climates.

JJE – In PE we have been playing rounders ready for our tournament!

PR – In Art we have been making shadow pictures. We drew a pictures of ourselves and copied onto them on black paper to create a shadow outline.

JLA – In Science we have been learning food chains. A producer goes at the beginning of a food chain.

NI – Yesterday we had open evening where we got to show our parents our work!
