Our School Day here at the Phoenix Primary and Nursery begins at different times depending on what phase or key stage you are.
Our morning Nursery session starts at 8:30am and parents should enter the school via the front entrance and walk across the playground and round to the Nursery. Mrs Howe and her excellent team of staff will be there to greet you. KS2 children enter via the back entrance and are greeted by a member of staff. The bell for KS2 children goes at 8:35am and children can go straight to their classrooms to start their learning for the day. The bell for KS1 & Reception goes at 8:45am and our KS1/Reception children will enter the school via their classroom doors. A member of the inclusion team will be on the KS1/Reception playground in the morning if you have any questions.
The gates close at 9am prompt as this is the close of registration. If for any reason you are late, you need to enter the school via the Office. Maths and Read, Write Inc/ English are before morning break. Break time is from 11.00 until 11.20 where learning recommences with topic lessons until lunchtime. The morning session for Nursery ends at 11:30am and parents should collect in the same way as they dropped off.
Our afternoon session for Nursery begins at 12:15pm and parents should drop their children off via the front gates where a member of nursery staff will be there to greet you.
