Below you will find important information regarding your child's PE time slot and information on reading.

At the bottom of the page you will our class blog- a weekly update of all the exciting things that happen within Year 3.

Reading Books

Every child in Year 3 will have a reading book and we encourage them to read with an adult at home. Children will bring home a book of their choice.  Please ensure that a note is made, in your child's reading record, each time they read at home. These notes will count towards your child earning a certificate, or even a prize! 

P.E Days

Year 3 will have PE once a week, however the day may change. Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school every day. Long hair should be tied up and earrings MUST be removed on these days. Your child will not be able to join in with PE if they have earrings in.

We have been learning about the book-The Iron Man.

We have been learning about adverbs.

We used adverbs, similes and expanded noun phrases to write a character description.

Maths

We have been adding and subtracting using the column method.

We have been exchanging tens and ones.

Science

We completed our Science experiment looking at how friction acts upon a toy car.

Geography

We looked at a map of our local area.

We labelled key landmarks in Laindon.

RE

We created our own picture to represent the Holy Trinity.
