At the bottom of the page you will our class blog- a weekly update of all the exciting things that happen within Year 3.

Reading Books

Every child in Year 3 will have a reading book and we encourage them to read with an adult at home. Children will bring home a book of their choice.  Please ensure that a note is made, in your child's reading record, each time they read at home. These notes will count towards your child earning a certificate, or even a prize!

P.E Days

Year 3 will have PE once a week, however the day may change. Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school every day. Long hair should be tied up and earrings MUST be removed on these days. Your child will not be able to join in with PE if they have earrings in.

3C Class Blog

This week, we had our year group school trip for Science! We visited Barleylands Farm. Whilst we were there, we were able to feed the animals, meet newborn animals, see how fruit and vegetables grow and make our own bread rolls and salad.

“We learned about non-chronological reports and wrote our own about Roald Dahl.”

“We learned what a perimeter is and how to measure and calculate a perimeter of a 2D shape.

“We looked at the UK’s highest populated cities and why they are so popular, we then discussed ideas on how we could improve other cities to increase population.”

“We learned how to say ten different animal names in French.”

“We discussed what we know about drugs and how to stay safe from them including medicine in our homes.”

“We played tennis in teams!”
