Basildon District Squad Success

Keira has been selected as one of a squad of 16 girls to represent the Basildon District at under 11s football for the 23/24 season. She undertook a series of trials and matches involving children from all Basildon District schools over several weekends. The coaches were really impressed with what they saw from Keira during these weekends and selected her for the team. She is really excited to be representing Basildon. Her family and Phoenix are really proud of her.

Lola - Player of the Match

Lola plays football for FC Redwings under 11s and was awarded player of the match by her coaches following the first league game of the new season. She plays at right back for the team and she ensured they kept another clean sheet. Go Redwings!!! Her family and Phoenix are very proud of her.

Theatre School Performance

During the summer break Hettie performed on stage with her Theatre school and took part in 2 dances, 2 songs and 2 acrobatics routines.

We joked that she was performing on the pyramid stage of Essex and one day would be on another more famous pyramid stage.  Her parents and Phoenix are very proud of her.

Football Trophy Winner

Albert won his trophy at his football club because he was running really fast and was listening to the coach. The team, himself and Phoenix are very proud of him.

Jack plays for Hasthtag United and received the "Player of the match" trophy by his football coach for outstanding performance in his position as Defender. The team, his parents and Phoenix are very proud of him.

Year 4 Trip to Colchester Castle

On Tuesday, Year 4 enjoyed their first every trip as a year group, which was to Colchester Castle.  From steering chariots; experimenting with making stained-glass window pictures; trying on Roman attire; and building round houses and Roman villas, the children had a fantastic time travelling back through history.  All children behaved exceptionally and were a credit to our school.
