• Hilltop - over again for another year!

  So we have arrived home and Hilltop is over for another year. Our last morning was fabulous and the sun even came out to end our trip.

   

  Children were up bright and early and finished their last minute packing before breakfast. Our final breakfast was delicious. Bacon, beans and hash browns and everyone enjoyed it. After breakfast the children emptied their rooms and all suitcases were put into storage ready for the journey home.

   

  We all met on the decking ready for put final activities. Group 1 had Treetop Trail, Group 2 had Climbing and Abseiling and Group 3 had Air Jump. The children had a fantastic morning and thoroughly enjoyed their final activities.

   

  Lunch was jacket potatoes and a variety of fillings and went down a treat. Set us up beautifully for our journey home!

   

  The suitcases were loaded and we left on time.  Had a good journey home and it was lovely to get back to school.

   

  Have a well deserved rest this evening and we will see you all in the morning.

   

  Until next year. Hilltop 2022 will be another amazing trip to look forward to.

  Hilltop Day 4 - another great day!

   

  Hello everyone from a very sunny Norfolk! Hope you are all ok and looking forward to welcoming us all back later.

   

  Yesterday was another exciting day. Everyone slept well and were all waiting for another delicious breakfast. Continental breakfast was on the menu yesterday and the children really enjoyed it.

   

  We then got ready for the day ahead. My group had Super Swing and Archery, Mr Mason’s group had Air Jump and Assault Course and Group 3 had The Journey. We all had a fantastic morning and definitely worked up an appetite for lunch - pasta bake - which was lovely!

   

  Quick break and then back to the afternoon’s activities. Group 1 had The Journey, Group 2 had Big Zipper and Bikes and Group 3 had Super Swing and Archery. The children all had a go and had a brilliant afternoon!

   

  Some chill out time before dinner which was Fish and Chips and Jelly and ice cream. Delicious!

   

  Our evening activities followed Next Stop and the Disco. The children loved it and were all ready for bed by 9pm.

   

  Another great day and we will see you all later.

   

  I will be keeping in touch with Mr Hann for our ETA and we will be in contact throughout the journey.

  Happy Monday morning from a sunny Norfolk!  We are just having breakfast and the children are looking fresh faced and bushy tailed after a great night.

   

  Yesterday was another phenomenal day. The children and staff are all having a brilliant time.

   

  Breakfast yesterday was delicious and we all enjoyed our full English on a Sunday morning. We were all up on time and ready for the day ahead.

   

  We met on the decking at 9.30 for our first activity of the day. Group one had big zipper and bikes, group 2 had treetop trail and group 3 headed to the beach for Coastal erosion.

   

  All the children had a brilliant time and the morning flew by.  We met back at the centre for lunch which was pizza and salad before heading back to the decking for 1.30pm for the afternoon’s activities.

   

  My group (group one) had Climbing and Abseiling, Group 2 had Coastal Erosion and Group 3 had Treetop Trail. The children all had a go and tried their best on the different activities, embracing the Hilltop motto of Challenge by Choice and all pushed themselves to have a go. The staff are so proud of all the children and how far they have come since they arrived

   

  We met back at the centre for dinner which was delicious! Lasagne and salad with garlic bread followed by apple crumble and custard for dessert.

   

  The evening’s activity was Enchanted forest and the children loved it! They all bought some treats from the tuck shop and were all in bed by 9pm.

   

  Another amazing day. We can’t wait for today!

   

  Group 1 have Super Swing and Archery, Group 2 have Air Jump and Assault Course and Group 3 have The Journey.

  Happy Father’s Day to you all from a very wet day in Norfolk. Yesterday was a brilliant day! The day started with Group one doing Air Jump and Assault Course, Group Two did Super Swing and Archery and Group Three did Climbing and Abseiling. All the children were exceptional and all tried the activities. The staff were so proud of them.

   

  Lunch was delicious. We had jacket potatoes and the children and Mr Itons really enjoyed them! Then it was time for the afternoon’s activities.  

   

  Group 1 had Coastal Erosion, Group 2 had The Journey and Group 3 had Big Zipper and Bikes. They were excellent and all the children gave it a go.

   

  Swimming was organised for before dinner and the children had a great time.

   

  Dinner was delicious and all enjoyed. We then had some chill out time, opened the tuck shop and then evening activities. We all went outside for Mad Hatters and had lots of fun.

   

  They were all so tired. They were all in bed by 9pm.

• Hilltop Residential ~ Day One

  Morning everyone! Happy Saturday morning to you all. Despite the terrible weather, we left on time and started our journey to the Hilltop Outdoor Centre in Norfolk. Unfortunately, the traffic was quite bad and we were delayed. Mr irons kept us informed of the estimated time of arrival and despite the relentless rain the children remained in good spirits.

   

  The coach arrived at 12.50 and we unloaded the coach and unpacked. We had lunch and then met Harry, who introduced himself as our Course Director for the trip.

   

  We went for a tour of the centre and then onto our first activity of Team Tasks and Ice breakers. The children were brilliant and kept their spirits up even though the rain didn’t stop.

   

  We went back to the centre for some time in the games room and dinner. We had beef burger and chips and syrup sponge and custard for dessert.

   

  Then we watched the football and went in the games room. The children were really good and were in bed, asleep, by 10pm.

   

  We are looking forward to a brilliant day today. Let’s hope the sun shines!
