Welcome to RP
Change over Tuesday
Reception reading books will be changed every Tuesday. Please ensure you child has their book bag, reading books and reading record. Please bring these items every day as your child will regularly read with an adult in school.
RP’s PE day is Friday
Please ensure your child has full kit in school throughout the half term. These will be sent home each holiday for washing. Hair should be tied up and earrings must be removed on these days. If they are wearing earrings they will not be allowed to join in with PE lessons.
Every Wednesday parents/carers are invited into classrooms from 8:45-9:00 am to share a book with their child. This will start from Wednesday 16th September. We hope you can make it!
The last Friday of each half term is Focus Friday! Parents/carers are invited into school to spend some time with their child exploring the activities that take place in Reception. The session will take place from 9:-10:00 am in the KS1 hall and light refreshments will be provided. The session will have a different curriculum focus each time. More information will be given nearer the time.
Week beginning 2nd May.
Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning about being healthy. We have discussed and sorted the foods that are healthy for us. We have talked about how exercise and sleep play a big part in keeping us fit and healthy.
We have thought about good hygiene and many of the children wrote instructions for washing their hands, for their homework and they did a very good job of using fingerspaces and full stops, segmenting for spelling and forming letters correctly.
We are joining KS1 in singing assemblies on Tuesdays and we are enjoying learning songs that we try to keep in tune with!
