Welcome Message

Change over Tuesday

Reception reading books will be changed every Tuesday. Please ensure your child has their book bag, reading books and reading record. Please bring these items every day as your child will regularly read with an adult in school.

*** Please note that books will be given out in due course. ***

Please ensure your child has full kit in school throughout the half term. These will be sent home each holiday for washing. Hair should be tied up and earrings must be removed on these days. If children are wearing earrings they will not be allowed to join in with PE lessons.

PE days may change from week to week. You will be informed on a weekly basis so please look out for messages on our class notice window.

Welcome Wednesdays

Every Wednesday parents/carers are invited into classrooms from 8:45-9:00 am to share a book with their child. We hope you can make it!

Focus Fridays

The last Friday of each half term is Focus Friday! Parents/carers are invited into school to spend some time with their child exploring the activities that take place in Reception. The session will take place from 9:00-10:00 a.m in the school hall. The session will have a different curriculum focus each time. More information will be given nearer the time.

This week, our Focus Book is ‘What The ladybird Heard’. This book is about 2 thieves who try to steal the Fine Prize Cow! But don’t worry – the ladybird comes up with a plan to stop them!

On Thursday we went on our very first school trip to Wat Tyler! We went pond dipping, we went on a bear hunt and a sensory walk and we played baby birds! We had a great time!

We have had lots of fun this week!
