Welcome to 4ST class page. We are looking forward to an exciting year of learning. Please keep visiting this page for regular updates and see what we are up to.

Reading Books

Children in year 4 are expected to read at home as much as possible. This can be to an adult or independently. Please sign their reading record to help them work towards their bronze, silver, gold and platinum reading awards.

Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school every day. We will have PE on a regular day but this may sometimes change. Your child will need a white T-shirt, black shorts and suitable footwear (trainers/plimsolls). In the winter months your child can wear black tracksuit bottoms and a jumper. All earrings must be removed and long hair will need to be tied back.

Tuesday 11th July

Wow! What a busy couple of weeks!

In English we have been planning and writing our own Science-fiction stories about an alien invasion.

In Maths we have been revising our knowledge and understanding of shape. We have been solving some tricky problems.

In Art we have been learning about the work of LS. Lowry and drawing and painting with perspective.

Some of our class were selected for District Sports this week. LM, SW and TS took part in the girl's relay race. HM took part in the boy's relay race. ER took part in the throwing events. LM took part in the 600m run. TS took part in the 60m sprint. NH took part in the long jump. We tried really hard and had lots of fun! We are looking forward to training and taking part again next year.

Today we met our new teachers. Some of us will be Mrs Allen next year and the rest of us will be with Miss Grayland. They will be setting us a homework task over the holiday and we will need to make sure we complete this ready for September. We also need to make sure we read regularly over the holidays too.

We hope everybody has a wonderful holiday and we look forward to seeing you all next year.
