Below you will find important information regarding your child's PE time slot and information on reading.

At the bottom of the page you will our class blog- a weekly update of all the exciting things that happen within Year 4.

Reading Books

Every child in Year 4 will have a reading book and we encourage them to read with an adult at home. Children will bring home a book of their choice.  Please ensure that a note is made, in your child's reading record, each time they read at home. These notes will count towards your child earning a certificate, or even a prize! 

P.E Days

Year 4 will have PE once a week, however the day may change. Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school every day. Long hair should be tied up and earrings MUST be removed on these days. Your child will not be able to join in with PE if they have earrings in.

Maths

LG - In Maths, we have ordering numbers up to 1,000.

AM - In Maths, we have been looking at mid-points on a number line.

SS - In Maths, we have been using number lines to look at numbers up to 10,000.

English

HH - In English, we have been writing a diary entry from Beowulf about his plans to defeat Grendel.

MA - In English, we have been writing a diary entry.

MM - In English, we have been looking at the story Beowulf.

Science

AM - In Science, we have been carrying out experiments about sound and how vibrations happen.

Art

ARF - In Art, we used hatching and cross-hatching skills to shade over a Roman colosseum.
