Welcome to RG
Change over Tuesday
Reception reading books will be changed every Tuesday. Please ensure you child has their book bag, reading books and reading record. Please bring these items every day as your child will regularly read with an adult in school.
Please remember to sign your child's reading record each time you read at home to ensure they get their stickers on their reading cards. Each time your child fills up a card they will receive a certificate. Happy reading.
RG’s PE day is Friday
Please ensure your child has full kit in school throughout the half term. These will be sent home each holiday for washing. Hair should be tied up and earrings must be removed on these days. If they are wearing earrings they will not be allowed to join in with PE lessons.
Every Wednesday parents/carers are invited into classrooms from 8:45-9:00 am to share a book with their child. This will start from Wednesday 16th September. We hope you can make it!
The last Friday of each half term is Focus Friday! Parents/carers are invited into school to spend some time with their child exploring the activities that take place in Reception. The session will take place from 9:-10:00 am in the KS1 hall and light refreshments will be provided. The session will have a different curriculum focus each time. More information will be given nearer the time.
Week beginning -20th June
What an exciting time RG have had recently. We have caterpillars currently in our classroom and we are watching their transformation carefully everyday. Hopefully very soon we will have beautiful butterflies! Watch this space!
Last week we went to Wat Tyler park on our school trip. We took part in lots of different activities centered around our topic of 'Minibeasts'. Our favourite activity was pond dipping and we found lots of amazing creatures. In our writing this week we have been writing recounts of our trip to Wat Tyler park. We have added lots of detail to our writing and have amazed the adults with our fantastic work. It has been a busy and exciting week.
