Class Blog

13th May 2016

This week we have been reading 'The Enormous Turnip'. We have been looking at the language used in the book and have discussed what this means. We have been using mathematical language linked to size such as large, huge, and gigantic and humongous. We have added actions to the story and we are able to talk about the characters and story setting. As a class we have looked at how teamwork enables the Old Man to pull up the turnip – something he just could not manage alone.

Next week, as part of our 'The Enormous Turnip' topic, we will be planting radishes. I wonder how big these will grow.
