The religions covered in our R.E. curriculum were all represented today. We had visitors representing religionsincluding: Sikhism, Christianity, Buddhism, Judaism and Islam come to speak to or Year 4 & 5 students about thecore beliefs, festivals, special food/clothes and ceremonies. The children learned about how, where and when thereligions were founded.
It was a very interesting day that gave the children an opportunity to learn about the differences and similarities between the religions. They also tried on some of the ceremonial clothes and saw a variety of religious artifacts.
The whole day had a real sense of community about it, which is great for our pupils to feel part of.
