Below you will also find important information about your child’s PE slot as well as advice about reading at home.
4S will have PE weekly and it is therefore essential that your child has their PE in school everyday. It is also important that each item of PE kit is clearly labelled with your child’s name in case things get lost.
Reading at Home
Reading at home is essential for your child to make the progress necessary with their school work. Your child will have a Reading Record Book that they bring home each night. If they read to you or another adult, or to themselves, please sign the Record Book to say this has happened. They will then get credits at school towards a range of reading certificates that they will receive in assembly.
Friday 7th December –Class Blog
4S wanted to share some of the things we have been doing this week.
HH told us, ”Today in science we made cup phones.”
ZT said, ”In English we have been looking at different types of poem.”
SS told us, ”We performed the poem ‘T’was the Night Before Christmas’ to the class.”
TA added, ”On Thursday we wrote a Christmas acrostic poem.”
TA said, ”In maths we are learning how to convert kg to g and km to m .”
LC said, ”In geography we have been learning about sea turtles and how they are endangered.”
KM said, “In art we carried on with our work in the style of Steven Brown.”
RT added, “We have been starting to make Christmas decorations for our classroom.”
RR told us, ”In computing we used Word to write up our poems.”
LF said, ”In RE we were re-telling the story of Moses.”
HG added, ”Some did a storyboard while some wrote a story.”
RJ told us, ”In French we learnt the French words for different Christmas items.”
LL added, ”We had sheets to match the words to the pictures.”
We have all had a great week and can’t wait to see what we do next week.
