3MW will have the opportunity to change their reading books daily. We will also visit the library weekly and children will take home their choice of a library book. Please ensure that book bags are in school every day, as we will be reading with each child throughout the week.
As well as reading at home, your child will be given homework each to complete each week. This will include a list of spellings to learn, and a piece of English and Maths. Please help your child with their homework. They will receive a house point for every piece that is handed in at school.
3MW have P.E weekly and the day will be confirmed with a sign on the door. Please ensure that your child has their P.E kit in school every day. Hair should be tied up and earrings MUST be removed on these days. Your child will not be able to join in with P.E if they have earrings in.

This week in Maths we have been practising division using the bus stop method. Although we found it hard to start with we’re getting better and better at it.
“I’ve got better at the bus top method because I’ve practised and practised.” AP
Last week in English we wrote our own version of a Norse myth, with a god we made up as the main character. This week we are going to turn our stories into plays.
“I liked using my imagination and what I thought could happen in my story.” KC
It was interesting to learn about how our muscles work and how our bodies move in Science.
“Our muscles always work in pairs to help us move and are connected to our bones by tendons.” LT
“I was surprised that our muscles work even when we’re sleeping” CG
Next week we are going to begin building a whole Viking village by making models of longhouses. We’d be grateful for any donations of cardboard boxes, especially tissue boxes or shoe boxes please.
