Children will have the opportunity to change their reading books every morning when they come into school. It is expected that books are read at least 3 times a week at home and need to be signed and a short comment made. The children will then have a chance to receive certificates and even win books!!
Children are expected to have their P.E kit in school every day.
The first week back to school has been fantastic for 3M. We have been working really hard in all of our lessons and earning lots of house points!
In Maths we have been looking at the place value of three digit numbers and the value of each digit. We have also been learning how to find 10 more or 10 less than a number.
In English, we have been creating our own poems based on the poem 'The Sound Collector' using onomatopoeia. We came up with our own interesting sentences.
'The whistling of the wind' HG
'The humming of the car' KB
'The bang of the firework.’ CW
In Science, we have been experimenting with different type rocks to find out their properties. We explored around the school to see which rocks had been used.
AD found some rock to show in class.
On Wednesday it is Roald Dahl day and we will be celebrating by completing some fun, Roald Dahl activities, as well as choosing our favourite Roald Dahl characters.
