Every child in 3H will have a reading book and we encourage them to read with an adult at home. We will visit the library weekly and children will bring home their choice of a library book. Please ensure that their reading books and reading records are in school each and every day as we will be reading with each child throughout the week. Every time a child reads with an adult, they will receive a stamp on their reading chart, which will earn them certificates and book prizes.
3H will have PE once a week, however, the day may change. Please ensure that your child has their P.E kit at school every day. Hair should be tied up and earrings MUST be removed on these days. Your child will not be able to join in with P.E if they have earrings in.

In English we researched reindeer's and wrote a non chronological report about them.
'Non chronological means not in time order.' TJ.
'We wrote about their appearance, what they eat and where they live.' AB.
Year 3 are going to turn their non chronological reports into a book of facts, so look out for it in the Year 3 classrooms.
Maths has been tricky this week. We have been using lots of different multiplication methods. We have impressed Miss Holman and Mrs Merritt with our multiplication skills.
One of the things we learnt about, was commutative law.
'Commutative law is where the answer will be the same no matter what way round the numbers are.' EK.
3 X 4 = 12
4 X 3 = 12
In geography we went for a walk around the local area. We were looking at factors which affect the attractiveness of our streets. This included things such as amount of street lights, amount of litter, cars and paths.
We had great fun and are more aware of our local area now.
