Reading Books

1Wi will have reading books changed daily. We will visit the library weekly and children will bring home their choice of a library book. Please ensure book bags are in school each and every day as we will be reading with each child throughout the week.


P.E Days

1Wi have P.E weekly and the day will be confirmed with a sign on the door.  Please ensure that your child has their P.E kit at school on this day. Hair should be tied up and earrings MUST be removed on these days. Your child will not be able to join in with P.E if they have earrings in.


Class blog – Friday 15th February 2019

Over the last week children have been involved in Art week. Year one have focused on Chinese New Year.  

FH – ‘We have made beautiful fans for Chinese New Year.’

MC – ‘Today we listened to a man from China and he played lots of instruments.’

PD – ‘In maths we have been sorting numbers.’

LC – ‘This week we painted pigs because it is year of the pig.’

LF – ‘We made Chinese Lanterns because it was year of the pig.’

DB – ‘In English we have been top copying our work for our display.’

EH – ‘In Maths we have been learning how to compare totals.’

LE – ‘In Maths we learnt number bonds. 5 + 5 = 10.’

RK – ‘In History we was writing about toys in the 1960’s.’

TW – ‘In Maths, we’ve been doing number bonds to 20.’

OP – ‘In Maths I know that 19 + 1 = 20. That is a number bond to 20.’

AD – ‘We have been writing about Traction Man in our school.’
